Oral Medicine and Radiology is the branch of dentistry which deals with the diagnosis and medical management of oral diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases and systemic diseases as a result of oral diseases ( it includes growths, ulcers, infections, allergies, immune mediated, autoimmune disorders, salivary gland disorders, TMJ diseases, facial pain, taste and smell disorders, etc.) Oral radiology is concerned with the production and interpretation of radiographic images using conventional and advanced imaging techniques for the diagnosis of various oral and maxillofacial diseases.
